According to the Communication and Information Center in the Vice Presidency of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, the inauguration ceremony of the steel ingot production project of the Zagros Ivan Steel Company was held in the presence of Hossein Afshin, the Vice President of Science, Ahmad Karami, Governor of Ilam, Sara Fallahi and Asdollah Cheraghi, representatives of the province in the parliament, deputy governors, and other officials.

In this program, Afshin congratulated the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution and the Shabaniyeh holidays.

The Vice President of Science introduced himself as the representative of the people of Ilam in the government council and said, "I will try to bring the issues and problems of Ilam province to the attention of the government council and follow up on issues related to this province. The gap of more than 13 years regarding development and industrialization between Ilam province and other parts of the country must be compensated."

He also thanked Zagros Steel Company for its investment in Ilam province and the city of Ivan and added: This type of investment and job creation is a good thing in today's conditions, and if development in a province does not start properly, prosperity will not occur.

Afshin continued to focus on the Vice Presidency’s programs in the development of this province and said: "In Articles 11 and 13 of the Knowledge-Based Production Leap Law, a discussion has been proposed under the title of tax credit, and based on it, companies can use their taxes for research and development or investment in the public sector, and during this, the provincial tax is spent within the province, which is a great opportunity and we at the Vice Presidency of Science are ready to provide this service to Ilam province."

Establishment of an Innovation Center in the City of Ivan

The head of the National Elites Foundation noted: Supporting science and technology parks and developing the knowledge-based economy in Ilam province, as well as establishing an innovation center in the city of Ivan under the name of the Zagros Innovation Center, next to the Islamic Azad University of this city, are other programs of the Vice-Presidency of Science in Ilam

Establishing a Corporate Venture Capital Fund in Ilam Province

Hossein Afshin also emphasized the establishment of a Corporate Venture Capital Fund (CVC) in Ilam Province and said: We are seriously looking to establish a CVC fund in this province.

The Vice President of Science concluded by saying: There are many capacities in Ilam Province and government officials should pay attention to these capabilities and actualize these potential capacities.
